Music Ministry
Our Music Ministry is a dedicated group of talented folks who provide music for our Sunday Worship service.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry reaches out to those in need of comfort, solace, and prayer. The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered by Pastor Teresa and the shawl is sent on its way.
Soup Ministry
The goal of this mission is to reach out to 12 folks a month with soup, bread, dessert and a visit. Funds are available to help with costs. Please see Deb Field if you would like to volunteer.
Outreach Garden
The Chester Congregational Baptist Church Outreach Garden was started in 2016 by Teresa Rogers who had a vision of transforming unused space on the church property into gardens. The main intent was to help those in the community who were unable to grow or purchase fresh vegetables. The project began with six simple raised beds and a pergola. Improvements have been made yearly.
Crushed stone paths were dedicated in memory of Gladys Nicoll, an avid gardener and longtime member of the Church. Each month the garden donates fresh vegetables to the Chester Food Pantry, Chester Seniors and also delivered to those who are confined to their homes.
Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry is open the 4th Saturday of every month from 9:00am to noon. This service is for Chester and Auburn residents and church members. Holiday food baskets are distributed for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
